Frequently asked
Everything we are asked most often. Anything else — write to us.
- How much does a custom dining table cost?
- Luzini prices tables by the surface: CA$0.10 per square inch for engineered European oak tops and CA$0.08 for decorative panel, plus the base, optional CA$100 GTA delivery and 13% Ontario HST. A 72" × 36" engineered oak top is about CA$259 before base and tax. The custom configurator prices your exact size and finish instantly and generates a PDF quote.
- How long does it take to build a custom table?
- 7 to 14 days from the moment your drawing and quote are approved, depending on size, pattern and finish. Every quote states the lead time before you confirm.
- Do you build restaurant tables?
- Yes. Luzini manufactures restaurant and café table tops in engineered oak and decorative panel from 30" × 30" upward, with a ten-piece minimum order, on pedestal or slab-leg bases — or as tops only. Finishes are batch-matched across the order and repeatable for later re-orders.
- Can I customize the dimensions of my table?
- Yes. Every Luzini table is made to order. Any size within ±16 inches of a standard model costs no extra, and any other dimension is quoted at the per-square-inch rate. Tabletop thickness and leg height are adjustable too, and all of it appears on a scaled drawing you approve before we cut.
- Do you deliver across Ontario?
- Yes. Delivery within the Greater Toronto Area is an optional CA$100 flat rate, covering Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Oakville, Burlington and Durham Region. Beyond the GTA — Hamilton, Waterloo Region, Guelph, Barrie and Niagara — we quote white-glove delivery per order. Collection from the Mississauga atelier is free.
- What wood species and materials are available?
- European oak is the core of the programme, supplied as engineered oak board or as continuous decorative panel. Selected collection pieces are also offered in American black walnut, reclaimed teak, Roman travertine and basalt stone.
- What finishes do you offer?
- Five engineered oak finishes — Classic, Pale, Grey, Espresso and Golden Oak — and five decorative panels: Smoked Brown, Natural, Black, Sand and Clay Oak. All are penetrating hardwax oils that can be spot-repaired instead of fully refinished.
- Can you match a table to my existing furniture or floors?
- Usually. Send daylight photographs of the piece or floor you want to match and we will recommend the closest finishes, then ship physical samples so you can hold them in the room before approving the drawing.
- Do you build conference tables?
- Yes. The standard conference table is 96" × 42" in European oak. Longer tables are built as two panels with a concealed joint carried on three slab legs or a plinth base, with cable management available on request.
- Do you build coffee tables?
- Yes. The standard coffee table is 36" × 24" with a 10-inch apron and 16-inch legs, built in engineered oak or decorative panel, and the leg height can be adjusted to match your sofa.
- How long does a table take?
- 7 to 14 days after your order is placed, depending on material and size. Custom designs are quoted with a lead time before you confirm.
- Can I specify dimensions?
- Yes. Every piece is built to order within ±16" of the standard size at no extra cost, and any size at all through the custom configurator.
- How much is delivery?
- Delivery within the GTA is optional and costs CA$100. Outside the GTA we quote white-glove shipping on request.
- What is the guarantee?
- Ten years on structure and joinery, with lifetime repair at cost.
- Do you make round or oval tables?
- No. Luzini builds rectangular and square tops only — it is how our joinery and pattern work are engineered.
- Can I see the materials first?
- Order a sample box and we send the timber and stone swatches you select, credited against your order.
- Can I return a custom table?
- No. Made-to-order pieces are built to your approved specification, so they are final sale once the quote and drawing are approved — this is permitted under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002 for goods made to a personal specification. You may cancel within 24 hours of approval if cutting has not started. Damaged, defective or non-conforming pieces are always repaired, replaced or refunded.
