Communal worktables
A ten or twelve-foot communal table is one of the most demanding things we build: it must be dead flat, stable at both ends and easy to sit at without knees hitting a rail. We use twin slab legs set inboard with a centre support and no apron.
Boardroom tables
Standard is 96" × 42"; anything longer is built as two panels with a concealed joint, which also solves the problem of getting a large top into an upper-floor room.
Residential work
Kitchener homes order the same tables in smaller sizes, most often 72" × 36" in Classic or Pale Oak.
