Custom oak furniture delivered to Cambridge

Cambridge sits in Ontario's manufacturing belt, and clients here ask engineering questions: how the top is bonded, where the load is carried, why we use hardwax oil. We answer all of them on the drawing.

How a Luzini top is built

Engineered European oak boards are laid in a bond — strip plank, chevron or herringbone — with every plank at least two feet long so no fragments appear at the joints. Over 78 inches the bond is staggered across the length for stability.

Base engineering

Pedestal bases are specified up to 78 inches with a minimum 12" × 12" footprint; longer tops move to twin slab legs or a plinth, with a third support added on very long spans.

Cambridge questions, answered

How is a large tabletop kept flat?
Tops over 78 inches are laid in a staggered strip-plank bond with a minimum plank length of two feet, and carried on twin slab legs or a plinth with a third support on very long spans. The drawing shows the bond and support layout before you approve.
Do you ship outside the GTA?
Yes. Anywhere in Ontario. Inside the GTA delivery is a CA$100 flat rate; beyond it we quote white-glove delivery per order.
